We're thrilled! Eveline Yu, the co-creator of these engaging Cantonese songs for kids with Locy Lee, has given us the green light to share the videos!

As Oregon’s first Cantonese-focused nonprofit, Portland Cantonese Play + Learn offers children’s books, worksheets, cards, along with a thoughtfully created guide for hosting Cantonese storytime, all designed to help families and young children celebrate their heritage language, with classes listed on our Marketplace page.

One standout resource that reflects this group’s mission is How to Host Cantonese Storytime for ABC Children, a step-by-step storytime guide created by Theola, the founder of this group. Designed with American-born children in mind, the guide offers clear, practical ways to create engaging Cantonese storytime experiences. It thoughtfully brings together language, culture, and storytelling in playful, meaningful ways, supporting educators, caregivers, and community members as they nurture heritage language in everyday settings.

The guide also includes a thoughtful, well-considered storytime example that helps readers imagine how to get started in their own classrooms, libraries, or community spaces.
