About the Event
Presenter: Dr. Sik Lee Dennig, a psycholinguist with nearly 40 years of teaching and research experience, is a dedicated pioneer in Cantonese language education. She created and taught Stanford University’s Cantonese language program for over 20 years. Dr. Dennig, who holds a PhD from Stanford, also helped develop and teach the TESOL program at East Carolina University and supervised teacher training at the Stanford Teacher Education Program. She taught ESL, EFL, and linguistics around the world. In this webinar, she will guide participants through hands-on analysis of language acquisition data, revealing the cognitive and linguistic processes behind Cantonese heritage learning and highlighting how this knowledge can inform effective teaching.
