About the Speaker
Led by Eveline Yu—a BC-certified teacher (M.E.T., B.Ed.) and Membership Director at CantoLTA—this workshop draws on over 20 years of language teaching experience across Canada, China, Japan, and Mexico. As the founder of Rhythm 'n' Rhyme, co-creator of Roundabout 氹氹轉音樂圈, host of the Little Readers Club Cantonese Story Times, Cantonese translator, and former bookstore co-founder, Eveline brings deep pedagogical expertise and creative, play-based strategies to early childhood language acquisition.
Workshop Overview
Teaching Cantonese to children ages 0–4 requires a music- and play-driven approach. Designed for educators, tutors, and parents in both group and 1-on-1 settings, this interactive session explores low-pressure routines to build early speaking confidence and print awareness from day one.
